With food that is rooted in contemporary French-American technique, Roux offers classic dishes with Chef Derrick Markland's own twists. Comfort foods like hushpuppies and gumbo are complemented by more adventurous favorites like catfish and jambalaya, with daily specials that are sure to please. Though the open kitchen is the focal point with its up-close dining experience and custom industrial barstools, the bar is not to be ignored. With its large oyster bed and selection of bourbons, it's a great spot for a night cap. During the summer there's nothing better than having a pint from one of Toronto's local breweries and people watching on the patio. With its location in the steadily growing Junction neighborhood, Roux is a place for everyone to feel at home.

I meet with friends this place quite often! This is my favorite spot to have a bite. I visit this place routinely. The meals are excellent, the crew is professional and the prices are decent. I like going in this spot to have a tasty lunch.

Food was to die for. My steak was delicious. Drinks were pretty good too. My friend's fish looked pretty good. Staff was very friendly. Prices as expected are fairly high but the food demands it. Loved this spot and I'd definitely come back here for a special occasion or something.

Great service! Super friendly atmosphere and very nice vibe. Top notch southern style food. The charcuterie board was BEAUTIFUL. Ate it so quickly we forgot to get a picture. Smoked platter was delicious as well (Pictured). Definitely worth a visit.

I enjoyed seeing the kitchen work while I dined. Had the pulled pork grilled cheese for brunch, it was very sweet and greasy so I didn't love it, but the coffee and service were lovely.

One of the most delicious brunch, lunch, or dinner spots in the junction. Not sure why it's not more popular, if you're in the west end, it's definitely worth a visit.

A true Toronto gem for southern fare. Phenomenal chicken & waffles. Tried the Jambalaya and Fried Mac n Cheese balls to. We had to wait a while for the food but it was totally worth it, such authentic quality. The service was great as was the decor.

Went for brunch on a Sunday morning. Ambiance is nice. Food is not bad, good portions and flavour throughout. Only complaint was that service was a bit slow (even with only 3 occupied tables). Nice small patio section if you're interested in that.

First time here even though we live a few min away, and it was really good. Everything we had was well portioned, well seasoned, well cooked, and well plated. The sweet tea cocktail is delicious. We also had oysters, and the ceviche as an app. The civeche was great, as were the oysters, I just wish they had some vinegar to go with them. For our mains we got the portobello mushroom and jackfruit, and the catfish - they were both amazing. We will definitely be back soon!
